26 Jun 08 Rachel is directing a short for the DARKLIGHT 4DAY MOVIE uber-directed by Lenny Abrahamson and orchestrated by the multi-talented Andrew McAvinchey. Shooting for one day only on the 26th!

20 Jun 08 Rachel attended a seminar in Edinburgh Film Festival organised by Nancy Bishop. On the panel included Priscilla John, John Hubbard, Maureen Duff, Maryam Hunwick and American Manager Derek Power. Fantastically insightful.

Rachel has just returned from Berlinale Talent Campus where she met with over 350 other talents from around the world!

Rachel took this opportunity to take first hand advice from some of the leading lights in cinema including Mike Leigh, M Dot Strange, Iain Smith, Stephen Daldry among others.

Rachel Rath took part in a session called the Garage Studio, playing the lead in a short film shot and edited in one day and released on the web as part of a workshop mentored by Mike Figgis directed by Juliane Block. View the film here.

Rachel was honoured to read with Gary Lewis (Billy Elliot) and Patrick J. Burns last Wednesday a staged reading of Johnny Brown's radio play "A Letter From Death Row" which was directed by Graham Cantwell and presented by Irvine Welsh and hosted by The Attic Studio and Filmbase.

11 Nov 2005 Along with The Attic Studio, Graham Cantwell, Emer Martin and Bank of Ireland Arts Centre, Rachel organised a mini Film Festival in aid of Irelands Homeless. The night was enjoyed by all and raised over €10,000.

All proceeds went to Sophia Housing.

7 Oct 2004 The Dublin Fringe Festival has never before had a more innovative theatre show take part than Ant Hampton and the gang at Rotozaza. Their show 'Doublethink', which featured Rachel, was a fantastic experiment in the psychology of performance and Rachel loves to be experimented on.

3 Sept 2004 Rachel filmed a Fáilte Ireland Advertisement as a horse rider in lovely Wicklow. It will air on RTÉ on the 18th January 2005. 
 
7 Aug 2004 Rachel has recently appeared in Music Videos for Republic Of Loose directed by Shimmy Marcus and Silver Addictive by Derek Rose. Both releases are available at all good record shops. Support Irish talent.

Rachel is currently performing weekly, Friday nights from 9, with the comedy troupe Improv @ Bankers. They recently performed in The Kilkenny Cat Laughs Fringe Festival where Rachel made her debut as a Stand -up comic. Stay tuned for more comedy gig info.

'A Dublin Story' wins again! It's first transatlantic prize is Bronze for Dramatic Original Short Film at the prestigious World Fest Houston 2004.

Rachel was elected onto the Executive Council in Irish Equity.

She hase recently completed three stuent shorts. 'Chain Film' with Sonic from Ballyfermot College, 'The Job' with Killian Drury from DLIADT and '10' with Declan Mungovan.

28 Nov 2003 It has been an extremely busy period for Rachel since the last update.

She has been in two stage productions with Pushing Tin theatre Company, "Woyzeck" at the New Theatre and "Traces" at the Project Arts Centre, both of which attracted large audiences and received great responses.

Rachel has also appeared in the current series of "Bachelor's Walk" on RTE.

Rachel has just completed work on "Fanatic", a short film to be screened at the Galway Film Fleadh.

01 May 2003 Rachel has been elected to the Equity Actors' Council! She has promised she will work to help out as much as possible with actors quibbles and aims to assist Vinny Mc Cabe with the proposed ACTORS CENTRE!

It has been a very busy start to the year for Rachel. She has been involved in two Filmbase shorts, "Close" for Director Tom Hopkins and "A Dublin Story" with Director Graham Cantwell

Rachel has also featured in a music video "Brew" for Director Anna Mahoney and has completed ADR work on "Dead Bodies" for Director Rob Quinn

Rachel has just been appointed Cast Manager for the brand new Bram Stoker's Dracula Museum in Clontarf, which will be opening shortly

Rachel has begun working on Ireland's first virtual reality theatre in the Westwood Centre in Clontarf.

Rachel has been invited to workshop at "The Abbey Theatre" in April.

Rachel is still working on "The Actors" for director Conor McPherson and has just wrapped "Mangamania" for director Graham Cantwell. More soon.

Rachel is currently working on "The Actors", a film directed by Conor McPherson, produced by Neil Jordan and starring Michael Caine. Pics soon.

Rachel is also working on "Mangamania" for Director Graham Cantwell, which will be shot half live action and half manga animation.

Lastly, Rachel will begin work soon with Ham-on-rye on Ireland's first Virtual Reality Theatre. More soon.
