PRESENTS

Sophia Housing is presenting its biannual celebration of great Irish short films on Friday June 27th at 7.30pm.

Ten-multi award winning short Irish films will be screened.

Writers/directors include established names such as Irvine Welsh, and rising stars such as Emer Martin, Ciaran Foy, Graham Cantwell and Rachel Rath among others. What makes this event unique is its intimacy. Unlike a traditional film festival each filmmaker gets an opportunity to introduce their films, answer questions, and mingle with the audience.

Tickets cost E50 each. Price includes a selection of fine wines, gourmet finger food and light refreshments together with an opportunity to celebrate the international success of short Irish Films and meet with the writers and directors.

This unconventional and enjoyable night was a resounding success in 2006. All the proceeds will go to Sophia, a voluntary organization that provides accommodation and support for people with special needs and the homeless. Sophia is a organization that alleviates the root cause of homelessness with a unique holistic approach enabling people to make a positive difference in their lives.

The event will take place at Sophia Conference Centre, 25 Cork St, Dublin 8. For further information and tickets contact Sarah/Lorraine at 01 4738300. www.sophia.ie
